Short Itinerary;

 

Day 1. In the morning we start our trip from UB to “Amarbayasgalant’’ Monastery. /The Monastery was established and funded by order of Manchu emperor Kang Xi or Enkh-Amgalan Khan to serve as a final resting place for Zanabazar, the first JebzundambaKhutugtu, or spiritual head of Tibetan Buddhism for the Khalkha in Mongolia. Construction took place between 1727- 1736 and Zanabazar's remains were transferred to a newly created temple in 1788/. Have a picnic near to “Darkhan”/Mongolian 2nd big city/ at lunch time and we reach to the Monastery in the evening. We stay a Ger camp, see Amarbayasgalant, and walking the surrounding mountains  in this beautiful area.

Day 2. After breakfast drive to the “Urantogoo’’ volcano, on the way we visit to “Erdenet” /Mongolian 3rd big city/ and Erdenet Mining Corporation, /it’s one of the youngest settlements in Mongolia, was founded in 1974 in an area where large deposits of copper had been discovered in the 1950s/. Late afternoon we reach to place, the volcano and stay in tents or a Ger camp. We can prepare dinner by ourselves.

Day 3. In the early morning we hike up to the volcano, Uran-Togoo Natural Monument, is a national protected area in Bulgan Province.  It is located about 60 km directly west of Bulgan city around the extinct volcanoes UranTogoo, TulgaTogoo, and Jalavch-Uul. Then after lunch we start drive to the Lake Khuvsgul, on the way you can see beautiful mountains, such as the Ikh-Uul tectonic movement mountain. Visit to culture places in Murun city of Khuvsgul province, shopping. Then we continue drive about 2 hours and reach at Lake Khuvsgul  National Park. Stay in a tourist camp.

Day 4. Have breakfast, lunch, dinner at the camp and whole day relaxing, boating, fishing, swimming, shipping or what you want to do more. /Lake Khuvsgul is known as the Dark Blue Pearl and area around the lake is said to be a Switzerland of Mongolia, because of its beautiful nature. This is the deepest and freshest watered lake in Mongolia, even in Asia/. (136 km long, 36 km wide, 246m deep)

Day 5. In the morning after breakfast we make hiking trip to beautiful mountain “Horidol Saridag’’. We bring some things for picnic on the mountain. Here you can see the most beauty of Lake Khuvsgul and surrounding mountains, it will be an amazing time for you. Late afternoon we come back to our camp and relax.

Day 6. In the morning have breakfast, then ride horse by on the bank of the Lake Khuvgul. Visit a Tsaatan family, who are reindeer herders. You can fun with the reindeers and visit reindeer family’s hovel. Come back to our camp and have lunch, then spend your time what you want to do. In the evening have dinner, then we organize a fire festival.

Day 7. In the early morning we start our trip to “Khogo Terkh” National Park. First we drive back to the “Khatgal” village, shopping the local souvenir stores, see the ship port, visit Murun city again and buy foods and useful things. Then drive 180 km by unpaved road /Natural road/ to Jargalant village, where we stay in Ger camp at night.

Day 8. Here you can visit the real nomadic families. Taste Mongolian national dairy products, such as Milk, butter from milk, Yogurt, Mare’s fermented milk, Mongolian vodka from fermented yogurt and dry products. If you want, we can prepare Mongolian most popular traditional food “Horhog”. It’s hot stoned barbeque by whole goat or sheep. There are also huge surrounding mountains, big river, historical  interesting places.

Day 9.  Our trip continue to Khorgo-Terkh National Park and stay at camp near to the White lake of the National Park. You can swimming, fishing, boating or what else you want to do.

Day 10. Whole day enjoy with the national park, where you can see the Khorgo Volcano /the biggest one/, White Lake, Yellow dog’s cave, Youth’s cave, Ice cave etc. This place is also very good for horse ridding. At our camp you have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 11. After breakfast we drive to ‘’Erdenezuu’’, it is Mongolian first and the biggest Buddhist monastery and first capital city of Mongol Empire, Kharakorum. /Now there are some temples, historical items left from kharakorum and 108 Stupas, some others. Around the city there Orkhon river /The longest river of Mongolia/, Orkhon valley’s  historical places, Statue of Great Kings and Turtle stones/. On the way you can see ‘Chuluut’ huge canyons, ‘Taikhar stone’, culture of Tsetserlig city of Arkhangai province. /Zayiin khuree monastery, Statues of Munkh-Aldartan, Bilegt statue, Bulgan Mountain and Tsenher hot spa/ etc. Lunch at Tsetserleg city and dinner at a tourist camp, bank of Orkhon River near from Kharakhorum.

Day 12  In the morning, after breakfast we drive to the Hugnu Tarna National Park. We visit to the ElsenTasarhai /Sand dunes/, where you have fun with the big sand dunes, relax, have lunch, photography and camel riding at there. Also you can visit to the ancient ruins of the “Tarna” monastery in this National Protected Area. In the late afternoon we drive back to UB and our trip has been successfully finished.
